Love Poems Never Die

An ode to a genre & my own bleeding heart

Cosmic

Stardust dances in your eyes
Seas so tranquil in your presence
As bright as you are deep
Falling away weightlessly
Among heavens that you hung
The course is yours to chart
Every star burns upon your back
Bursting brilliant bouquets of light
But none of the skies above
Nor its celestial guardians
Compare to the stardust
Always dancing in your eyes

Thread

A digital whisper in the dark
Pulling me ever inward
The hint of heart in wasteland
Tugging on my well-worn sleeve
As if to say “follow me”

A virtual blush turned valentine
Unspooling my ancient knots
Leaving them bare but beautiful
A nakedness I never thought to show
An unexpected acceptance
